MC Serves: Opening Minds through Art (OMA) Project

OMA is a unique, award-winning volunteer program that pairs adults with dementia and MC student volunteers who assist in creating a one-of-a-kind art piece. OMA enables people with dementia to assume new roles as artists and teachers and leave a legacy of beautiful artwork. MC volunteers will receive on-campus training, then volunteer for nine weeks at the Charles E. Smith Life Communities, a local senior community. This is great experience for Pre-Medical, Health, Psychology, and Sociology Majors.

Volunteer Commitment: One semester, 1.5 hours/week

Tuesdays 2-3:30 p.m. February 25-April 28

New Volunteer Training Tuesday, February 18 1-4 p.m.

Applications are due Friday, February 13:
