Montgomery College Library has launched a new research subject guide on the topic of social and racial justice. The guide is available at .

This guide will help students, faculty, and staff conduct research on topics related to racial and social justice by guiding them through the research cycle and directing them to both library resources and resources available on the open internet. The resources are organized around current issues in the national conversation, including racism, policing, voting, the justice system, and protesting.

Among many other resources, the guide includes links to the library's new collections of downloadable audiobooks. The downloadable audiobook collections include a current events collection with popular non-fiction titles about current topics like immigration and Black Lives Matter. We also have an "own voices" collection, which includes books written by and about marginalized groups.

The library encourages faculty and students to use the new Social and Racial Justice guide as a starting point for conversations with students, and a tool to help educate yourself and your students with quality sources of information, free from the MC Library.

If you have any questions about the new guide or need assistance with research, the library is currently offering three ways to speak with a librarian during remote working and learning: text, chat, and online appointments. Visit to learn more and get in touch.
