Need some inspiration to get outside and look at the stars? The Montgomery College Observatory can help! Astronomy professor Carrie Fitzgerald would love for you to join her for a virtual exploration of the summer night sky.

There are two webinars in the series left! Each one will focus on a particular constellation, including its history, mythology, and how to find it in the night sky. In the process you'll learn some astronomy fundamentals that will enrich your stargazing experience.

The schedule is below. All presentations will begin at 7:30 PM EDT.

Fri 26-Jun-2020 : Hercules- Strongman with a Star Cluster (Register HERE)

Fri 17-Jul-2020 : Cygnus- Swan in a Triangle(Register HERE)

About the presentations:

Presentations are given live via Zoom Webinar. When you register you will be given a link for the event. You'll also receive a reminder email an hour before the presentation begins.

You won't be on camera! Don't worry about what you look like :). This is a Webinar, so you will automatically enter with your mic muted and no video. That doesn't mean you can't participate, though! Chat will be open, as will the Q&A.

I will talk for 20 to 30 minutes, and then will take questions. The entire event will last approximately 40 minutes.
