Book Edited by MC Professor Wins National Award

	"Poetic Voices Without Borders 2," edited by Professor Robert L. Giron, has won the 2009 National Best Book Award for Fiction & Literature: Anthologies in the 6th annual contest. The category included four finalists. The anthology features poetry in English, French, and Spanish written by over 150 poets includes five faculty from MC's Takoma Park/Silver Spring faculty: Don Berger, Maria-Elvira Luna-Escudero-Alie, Ian (Sidney) March, and Giron. "USA Book News" sponsors the award for mainstream and independent books. The MC bookstore has copies on hand.
