Managing the Paperload </b>
Assigning writing in our courses is a great way to promote better learning, thinking and communication skills in our students. However, many of us are rightly worried about the amount of time grading such writing takes, and so we are reluctant to assign as much of it as we might want. This workshop introduces faculty from any discipline to tools for responding to, evaluating and otherwise using writing assignments in our courses in ways that make the paperload manageable. Bring your assignments to share and to get input. There will be time for hands-on work.
Facilitators: Prof. Christina Devlin and Prof. James Smith
