MCTV Commemorates Native American Heritage Month and Veterans Day

In commemoration of Native American Heritage month Montgomery College Television is proud to present the premiere of History of American Indian Achievement premiering on Thursday November 5 and Friday November 6 from 9 - 11 p.m. Repeat programs will air Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday on November 9, 10, 12, and 13 from 4 - 5 p.m. Be sure to tune in to other exciting programs such as Walela in Concert, Tales of Wonder, Black Indians, and Native American Healing in the 21st Century.

Sports fan can spend the Thanksgiving holiday with Montgomery College Television and see the best college games on TV. Join us for the Montgomery College Sports Marathon on Friday, November 27. The Trail of Tears explores one of America's darkest periods with the removal of the Cherokee Nation to Oklahoma in 1838. Filmed on location in Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin, Georgia and Kentucky and presented by Wes Studi and narrated by James Earl Jones.

"H1N1 Just the Facts" features information about the H1N1 virus and its similarities to and differences from the seasonal flu; questions from Montgomery College students; prevention and vaccination information; and a discussion about the emergency plans that have been created to contend with any flu outbreak at Montgomery College and in Montgomery County.

Friday, November 6 at 1 p.m. Do you love to read, or have a passion for literature? November is Novel Writing month. Great American Authors, F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference, Books & Ideas and The Writing Life will be featured on Literary Sunday, November 29.
