Learning-Tech.jpgThe College community is invited to the Learning Technologies' November Technology Preview of Babylon. Babylon is a software product that translates English to other languages, on a word by word basis as the mouse is rolled over any given word. Its objective is to help non-native English speakers to increase both their word knowledge and comprehension of written English text. It includes audio sound bytes for each word. The company that developed and owns the software is part of the Montgomery County Business incubator and is trying to create local interest in their product. The Technology Previews are designed to increase awareness of technology that is available in support of teaching and learning.

The presentation will be at the Thursday, November 12 at the Learning Technologies Committee meeting. The meeting will be held at Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus in Room 143, The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center and run from 3 - 5 p.m. The demonstration will occur for the first hour of this meeting. Please come!
