As the North Parking Garage construction work is being completed the final paving and crosswalk painting of North Campus Drive is scheduled to begin this weekend, November 19 and 20.

On Thursday November 17, In preparation for this work all traffic along North Campus Drive will be detoured into parking lot 2, in the vicinity of the running track. Then drivers must turn left and travel west along the northern edge of parking lots 2, and 5 exiting in the vicinity the Technical Center(see detour map).

The walkway along North Campus Drive will be removed on Thursday as well. Pedestrians exiting parking in lots 2 and 5 will need to traverse the respective lot and cross North Campus Drive near the entrance to parking lot 3 or the crossing established in the vicinity of parking lot 4. Final paving and restriping will be completed by Sunday November 20.

On Monday November 21, pedestrian access will be as depicted on the pedestrian traffic flow plan. Pedestrian traffic will exit parking lots 2 and enter campus between the North Parking Garage and parking lot 3 and walk behind the facility to points on campus, or proceed into the Physical Education (PE) building.

Pedestrians exiting parking lot 5 will have the option of entering campus at the crossings in the vicinity of parking lot 4, or in the crossing vicinity parking lot 2 and using the entrance point between parking lot 3 and the North Parking Garage (See the Pedestrian traffic flow plan attached).

As always, thanks for your patience as this significant campus improvement is completed.
