The 2017 History Conference will be held on Saturday, January 28 at Montgomery College's Bioscience Education Center in Germantown. Registration is now open.

This year's conference promises to be another can't-miss event with something for everyone. A personal story of a Montgomery County man's service in World War I will start the day, followed by breakout sessions featuring such varied topics as the architectural history of the Jewish community, the unique Warren Historic Site, Latino immigration, archaeological work at Oakley Cabin, the pivotal election of 1962, and a retrospective of historic preservation efforts.

"History Gems" will enable participants to see distinctive artifacts from five local museums, while "History Tools" will provide information on how to save a local burial site.

The final session will be a special treat for baby boomers and music lovers of all ages with documentary clips and a panel discussion of the legendary radio station, WHFS 102.3 FM. Click on the link below for a complete schedule of events and to reserve your spot.
