Have a business idea or a growing business? Looking for seed money? Compete in the Montgomery College Annual Raptor Tank Business Pitch Competition!

Believing in Students, Believing in Business

To all interested,

The Macklin Business Institute (MBI), the Montgomery College Business program, together with MC ENACTUS, are excited to hold the Raptor Tank Business Competition this year. The Raptor Tank Business Competition provides MC students across all three campuses with professional skills while providing an outlet for student success in a professional career as a business owner.

The competition supports student start-up ideas and economic development by bringing together students with mentors and judges from the entrepreneurial community in a real-life challenge. Students participating must sign up and attend an orientation on one of the following dates, where competition requirements and expectations will be reviewed.

There will be three orientation sessions in Rockville on October:

* 10/10 Tuesday 3pm-4pm l HU 115

* 10/19 Thursday 8:30am-9:30am l HU 133

* 10/25 Wednesday 12:30pm-1:30pm l HU 115

Feel free to bring your friends and/or business partners!

After an application due December 1, 2017, a select group of student entrepreneurs will move on to the final round, attending business workshops biweekly on Wednesday nights in the spring. Ultimately, teams will pitch their ideas in front of a panel of business leaders from a variety of industries. A combined total of over $5,000 in seed money is eligible for the winners selected by the judges, including a bonus "Student Choice" award where students in the audience will get to text in their favorite business idea. These prizes will be awarded shortly after the student presentations.
