Dr. Mark Alves Gives Interdisciplinary Talks About Vietnamese Language History

<p>Dr. Mark Alves (Dept. of ELAP, Linguistics, and Communication Studies) has recently given multiple talks on topics of the history of the Vietnamese language. The talks incorporated linguistic, historical, and archaeological data and involved issues related to Chinese and Tai-Kadai languages.</p>
<p><strong>1. "Data from Multiple Disciplines Connecting Vietic with the Dong Son Culture"</strong> at "Contact Zones and Colonialism in Southeast Asia and China's South (~221 BCE - 1700 CE)" on May 20, 2019 at Pennsylvania State University (<a href=""></a>)</p>
