Reminder: Course Materials for Second 7-Week Classes

Greetings Raptors,

We are reminding you that MC automatically provides required materials (textbooks, art supplies, safety goggles) for credit classes through Slingshot Choice.

How do I access the Slingshot Student Portal? To login to the Slingshot Student Portal:

1. Visit montgomerycollege.slingshotedu.com.
2. Select "Login" and then select "Login with School Account".
3. The MyMC webpage will appear prompting you to login with your MyMC ID and Password.

What course material format options are available? The default format for course materials is digital. However, you can update your preference in the Slingshot Student Portal. This preference applies to all materials unless your instructor requires a specific format. If your preferred format is unavailable, Slingshot will automatically provide a substitute. You can update your preferences at any time in "My Account".

How will I receive my required course materials?

• Print materials default to pick up at the MC Campus Store (Rockville Campus, Campus Center Building). You'll receive an email when your items are ready.
• Digital materials are available through your student portal about four days before classes start.
• Pickup at the Germantown, Takoma Park/Silver Spring, or East County Education Center (ECEC) locations during distribution hours. To transfer orders to a location other than Rockville, fill out the transfer request form.
• For a fee, you can choose home shipping.

Important Dates for Second 7-Week Classes:

• October 9: Deadline to opt out or change preferences
• October 28: First day of Fall 2026 Second 7-Week classes
• November 4: Last day for 100% full refund on course materials returns for Second 7-Week classes* *Courses dropped on or before the refund deadline date qualify if materials are returned within 7 days of the drop date.
