Engineering Innovation Center Design Challenge 2026

This year's Design Challenge encourages students to collaborate across disciplines and make use of the campus's innovation centers or makerspace.

The fall 2026 challenge is to collaborate with disciplines in the Natural Sciences on physical visualization of theoretical process.

• Chemical structures during reactions
• Biological systems in action
• Quantum mechanical changes
• Astronomical interactions
• Geological events

Prizes:

1st Engineering laptop computers for each member of the team

2nd 3D printers for each member of the team

3rd RC Drones for each member of the team

Competition submissions due by Monday, November 30th.

Judging and awards ceremony, December 10, 4:30-7 p.m. on the Rockville Campus.
