Published: Monday, October 26, 2026

Join us for a lecture presented by planetary scientist Alexander Kling, PhD, in our state-of-the-art planetarium theater on Friday, November 6 at 7 p.m.

Dr. Kling's research focuses on understanding how water and other gases (like hydrogen and helium) form and behave on the Moon by looking at lunar dust collected during the Apollo program.

Dr. Kling is originally from New York City. He earned his BS in Geology from Stony Brook University in 2020 and his PhD in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences from Purdue University in 2026. He recently joined the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as a Post Doctoral Research Associate.

This event is free to attend, but space is limited and registration is required. Please register by clicking here. The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served after the lecture.
