2026-2027 Women's Basketball Season Preview

Montgomery College Women's Basketball Looks to Rebound in 2026-2027

The Montgomery College women's basketball team enters the 2026-2027 season looking to bounce back under longtime Head Coach and Executive Director of Athletics Tarlouh Gasque. After a challenging 2025-2026 campaign impacted by injuries to key starters, the Raptors are ready to turn the page with renewed determination and a deeper roster.

Montgomery College finished last season with a 15-14 overall record and an 8-6 conference mark. This year's squad features the program's largest roster in recent years, combining returning sophomores with a talented freshman class. The increased depth provides the Raptors with additional options throughout the lineup as they prepare for a demanding schedule and look to compete for a Region 20 championship.

The Raptors return several experienced players, including guards Imani Dennis, Angela Green, Taliyah Alexander and Ty Warwick, along with forward and guard Londyn Miller. Their experience will be important as Montgomery College integrates its newcomers and builds chemistry early in the season.

Montgomery College opens its regular season at home on Sunday, November 1, against Richard Bland College at 2 p.m. at the Rockville Campus Main Gym.

The Raptors will host their annual Tip-Off Classic November 7-8, facing Tidewater Community College on November 7 at 5 p.m. and Delaware Technical Community College on November 8 at 3 p.m. Montgomery College will also welcome teams for its annual Holiday Classic December 19-20, with matchups against Middlesex College on December 19 at 5 p.m. and Harford Community College on December 20 at 3 p.m.

With a strong returning core, an expanded roster and a mix of veteran leadership and new talent, the Raptors look to establish momentum early and make a push toward postseason success.
