Join Discussion on MOOCs Mar. 8 at MC-Rockville

Massive open online courses (MOOCS) are the latest in educational trends. Are these MOOCs a fad or will they change the higher education landscape? Join a discussion on issues such as access, quality, retention/completion, and credit. We will talk about how a MOOC differs from other online courses, the issues of quality, access and completion, and how MOOCs can be utilized at Montgomery College. Dr. Michael Mills, director of Distance Education and Learning Technologies, and Emily Rosado, English professor and Center for Teaching and Learning faculty associate, will facilitate the discussion on March 8 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Humanities Building 008 on the Rockville Campus.
